In 1997, Mr. O’Neill joined Westbridge Capital Corp., (the predecessor of USHEALTH Group, Inc.), as part of Westbridge’s restructure team and served during its restructure as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. When USHEALTH Group was formed in March of 1999, Mr. O’Neill was elected to serve USHEALTH Group in the same positions and has continued to serve it in those capacities since 1999. He has served USHEALTH Group’s subsidiaries in similar capacities since that time. In March of 2006, Mr. O’Neill was elected to USHEALTH Group’s Board of Directors. Mr. O’Neill serves as the President of Pacific Casualty Company and was elected President of National Foundation Life Insurance Company, both subsidiaries of USHEALTH Group.
Prior to 1997, Mr. O’Neill was in a private, national law practice, which specialized in insurance law and civil litigation with former clients that included prominent insurance companies and national insurance agencies.
Mr. O’Neill earned his B.A degree from the University of Kansas in 1973 and his J.D. degree from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in 1977.
For over 28 years Mr. O’Neill has been Board Certified by the State Bar of Texas as possessing special competence in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law. He is also a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, and a frequent lecturer at various seminars on insurance law, insurance litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. For the past 35 years, Mr. O’Neill has annually received the highest peer review rating available in the Law Directory, a national publication of Martindale-Hubbell Company. He has also been listed for decades by AM Best Company in its annual publication of recommended insurance attorneys, and by Martindale-Hubbell Company in its annual publication of the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers in America.
